Say Hello to Hukambi 53%

Each month, we take a tour of one of Valrhona’s chocolates! This month, it’s the unique and innovative Hukambi 53%, a single origin Brazilian chocolate, Valrhona’s first ombré, dark milk chocolate.

You can find our past explorations of the Valrhona Cocoa Library on the Keylink blog.

A Brazilian Original: Ombré Chocolate

Blending milk and dark, this single origin dark milk chocolate has a rich, indulgent flavour profile with strong cocoa notes and mild bitterness. While uncommon for a milk chocolate, the high cocoa percentage contributes to this, offering a wonderfully balanced chocolate.

Part of the Single Origin range, Hukambi 53% is made using cocoa from the Southern Bahia region of Brazil. It was made with ganache and crémeux in mind, as well as bars, but is also perfect for moulding, coating and even ice cream!

Valrhona are also a B-Corp, which places them in a group of companies committed to upholding the highest standards for their ethics, and social and environmental impact. In choosing Valrhona products, you’ll be purchasing a traceable, and responsible chocolate, sourced directly from their producers.
