Given the enduring popularity of traybakes, it’s essential to have a thicker, more easily cuttable version of our versatile spreads that can be piped into tart cases, biscuit bases, cookie pies and more.
Each spread has a corresponding Keylink Essentials compound coating, which you can combine with the spread to achieve a soft-set, cuttable consistency your customers will love to bite into. We’ve taken care of all the ratio calculations for you!
Spread | Matching coating | % of coating required | Bakestable |
Pistachio (10%) | Pistachio | 20% | Y | Pistachio (15%) | Pistachio | 20% | Y |
Lemon Cream | White | 20% | Y |
White | White | 20% | N |
Milk | Milk | 20% | N |
Milk with Hazelnut | Milk | 20% | N |
White with Hazelnut | White | 20% | N |
Each spread will need 1-2 hours to set in the fridge after combining to make them cuttable. After keeping at room temperature, the spreads will soften but will keep their form, so can be displayed all day.
If you’ve tried all of the above combinations and are looking for something a little different, we’ve got just the thing. Here are some spread and compound coating combination ideas for you to try in your next batch of bakes:
